RT: Saudi Arabia to buy Russian S-300s

Russia Today reports (h/t Juan Cole) that Saudi Arabia is willing to pay a premium for Russian-made S-300 surface-to-air missile systems; in exchange, Russia would agree to U.S. demands that it scuttle its planned S-300 deal with Iran. We've been following this story with some curiousity since the summer. Here's the RT report:

As Joe Biden lands in Israel, the Israeli government -- obviously keen to demonstrate that it's serious about restarting peace talks -- announced Monday that it will violate its West Bank settlement freeze and build 112 new homes in Beitar Illit, a settlement west of Bethlehem.
