Hariri keeps cabinet talks quiet

Saad Hariri has kept a pretty tight lid on the latest round of cabinet negotiations. The Daily Star's Elias Sakr has a good summary of the state of play. Basically, it sounds like March 14 is being coy about whether it remains committed to the 15-10-5 formula, which the opposition still supports.

As-Safir reports on the international angle (عربي) to Lebanon's domestic politics. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad had a two-hour meeting with Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah (Assad was in Saudi for the opening of the new King Abdullah University of Science and Technology). As-Safir says they spent a good part of the meeting discussing Lebanon, but doesn't provide much detail on what they discussed.
